Baby Blessings and Baby Naming ceremonies can:

• Announce the name you have chosen for the child, its meaning and family significance

• Recognize and appoint those with special roles who will have an important role in the child’s development. They may include grandparents, guide-parents, godparents, siblings, mentors, and of course, the parents.

• Make “vows” and pledge the commitment of parents, family and friends to support the raising of the child

• Bring the family and community together as a whole

Adoptions – We become families in many ways. Adoption ceremonies can honor birthparents and pay tribute to your child’s background.

Mother Blessings – Baby Showers are focused a great deal on the baby. This Mother Blessing ritual is designed to focus on the Mother-to-be and to create a circle of support that will cradle her as she prepares to give birth to her child. Unique symbols and traditions are offered for this ceremony.
